An Non Governmental Organisations NGO Al’Muhibbah Foundation has donated drugs and consumables to Specialist Hospital Bauchi.
Hajiya Aisha Mohammed who is the founder of Al’ Mihibbah foundation and the wife of Bauchi state Governor Bala Mohammed made the donation to the Chief Medical Director of the Specialists Dr Ya’u Gital in Bauchi on Wednesday.
She said the gesture was part of the foundation activities in different health facilities and communities in the state.
According to her, the donation of drugs and consumables is part of the foundation initiative to improve the health care delivery as well as mothers and children in the state.
Mrs Mohammed said the drugs are provided to reduce and alleviate the sufferings of the patients attending the hospital.
She said the drugs and the consumables would be given to caregivers and parents, patients coming to the hospital for treatment.
The founder of the Foundation said the drugs and consumables donated include malaria drugs, de-worming drugs and tetanus toxide for pregnant women, paracetamol, Antenatal care drugs, antibiotics among others.
Receiving the items, Dr Gital said the donation would go a long way in reaching more patients, mothers and children in among other less privileged.
He commended Mrs Mohammed for taking her time to visit wards and her passionate on health matters, especially patients, mothers, newborn babies and pregnant women.
Our correspondent reports that the founder of the Foundation who is the wife of the Bauchi state governor, Mrs Mohammed visited wards of the specialists hospital donates money to patients worth N3. million and prayed for their quick recovery.
