Following his recently induction as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Forensic and Investigative Auditors of Nigeria (CIFIAN), some analysts in North East have commended Dr. Muhammed Kyari Dikwa while attributing his transparency and professionalism in all his involvement of national duties as reasons for his consideration as a fellow of CIFIAN.

Dr. Dikwa, a professional accountant and member of many professional bodies, including a fellow Certified National Accountant, an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria , a fellow of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants, a life member of the Nigeria Economic Society, a member of the Institute of Administration of Nigeria, a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, United Kingdom and a Council member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria is a Permanent Secretary in the federal ministry of finance.

The analysts gave the commendation in separate interviews with our correspondent on Tuesday,8 July,2018 in Gombe, Borno and Bauchi States respectively.

Adamu Mohammed, a public analyst from Gombe said: “ I am not surprise at the feat that Dr. Dikwa has achieved as a member of many professional bodies because he is a God fearing fellow. There is nothing good that transparency, dedication and commitment to duties cannot give you as a person.

“ For such a man who has given his best to the anti-corruption fight of the federal government, any award is deserving,” he stressed.

Abari Shehu from Bauchi who spoke to our Correspondent commended CIFIAN for toeing the lane of other professional bodies to make Dr. Dikwa its fellow.

Shehu said: “ Dikwa is a true Nigeria. What he has done for this country is enormous. We have observed him closely and his transparency is crystal-clear for all to see.

“He has never been indicted for corruption despite serving in various capacities at different levels of national engagements.

“This is the kind of leader we need to re-write the financial wrongs in the system. I just wish him well as a patriot that we know him to be.”

Babagana Kabiru from Borno described Dr. Dikwa as “ someone that hates corruption. If you are corrupt, I tell you you cannot be his friend or associate.

Kabiru, while commending Dikwa, charged him to see the induction as another responsibility burden to do more to better the course of humanity and rid the country of corruption by sustaining his support for the federal government’s anti-corruption war.

CIFIAN is anti-fraud organization saddled with the responsibility of providing skills to professionals from different fields on the use of science and technology for prevention, detection and investigation of fraud, and also put in place some sophisticated mechanisms to prevent future occurrence.

The point of reference of this institute is on forensic and investigative audit and not Forensic Accounting.

The relevance of this institute cannot be over-emphasised in a country like ours especially when the whole world has gone digital and today, fraudsters now engage digital technologies in perpetrating fraud which has made traditional auditing inadequate.
