Adamawa State Government To Receive Medical Equipment, Consumables From USA

The Adamawa state government will soon take delivery of medical equipment and consumables from about forty Adamawa State Government To Receive Medical Equipment, Consumables From USAhealthcare delivery to the citizenry.

The feat was achieved following Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s meeting with the World Medical Relief team and other investors in the United States of America U.S.A to access support for the Health sector and other areas deserving Intervention in Adamawa. 

Fintiri while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after his arrival at Yola International Airport Sunday evening said his visit to the U.S.A was borne out of the government’s desire to reinvigorate the health sector and improve socio-economic activities.

“The development partners are responding to the political will demonstrated by my administration and have agreed to partner with the state government in critical sectors.”

“The health sector which has suffered challenges ranging from insurgency and COVID-19 was rescued by my administration’s efforts through the ongoing construction and rehabilitation of hospitals across the state,” he said.

Fintiri said he was informed of the need for more intervention from global partners, pointed out that his trip to America was successful as he was able to persuade them to come and equip the health institutions with modern equipment.

On the spate of defections by some politicians from other political parties to the party in power in the country, Fintiri said “such is normal in politics as Nigeria is approaching another general election in 2023.”

He was accompanied to the U.S.A by the Commissioner for Health and Human Development, Professor Abdullahi Isa.
