Arewa group mourns billionnaire philanthropist, Aminu Dantata
Arewa Cohesion for Peace, Unity and Development Initiative has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of renowned business magnate and billionnaire philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who died at the age of 94.
The group in a condolence message signed by Comrade Sagir Wada Mai Iyali, the Kano State chairman of the group, on behalf of all the members, described the death of the Kano-born industrialist as a huge, and irreplaceable national loss.
Iyali said that Dantata was a true nationalist and a philanthropist per excellence who empowered countless Nigerians, inspiring them to greatness.
According to him, his life was lived for humanity and the evidence of that impact lives amongst the people he left behind.
“The fact that every media space is filled with condolence messages for the business icon showed how impactful his life was on earth.”
The chairman urged the youth and leaders from the North and Nigeria to carefully examine the life and times of Dantata towards creating an environment where many would be empowered out of poverty so that Nigeria could be a better place for us all.
“We will immensely miss his business prowess and philanthropic gestures, however we are consoled by the fact that his legacies have help shaped the federation called Nigeria, this is a memory property we would hold dear to our minds,” he said.
