Boko Haram terrorists under heavy offensive attack from Army

There is an ongoing fierce fire exchange between men of the Nigerian Army and Boko Haram insurgents at Wamdio, 10 km from Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.

A reliable source disclosed this to Northeast Star that the clash started in the evening of Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

It can be recalled that the Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai disclosed that the Army is going to crush the insurgents this new year.

“I am very optimistic that 2021 will be different, totally different with remarkable difference from 2020. I want you to see it as a challenge and a task that must be done because we are the one that can do it because Nigerians believe in us and believe that we can do it,” said General Buratai. 
“You should go into the year with full conviction that we can do better to address the insecurity in our country,” he added.
