Borno APC congress returns party executives with affirmation

The Borno state chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has returned its 36-member state executive members of the party.
While affirming the “voice vote elections” at the weekend in Maiduguri, the state capital, the Congressional Committee Chairman of the party, Uba Maigari disclosed that all the elective positions were affirmed by the delegates.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Abdulkarim Lawan moved the motion for the congress voice affirmation and seconded by his deputy, Abdullahi Askira.
According to him, the State’s Executive Members are to serve the party for the next four years.
Maigari also commended the ‘maturity and unity’ of the delegates drawn from the 27 Local Government Areas.
He urged the delegates to continue to unite the APC family.
Governor Babagana Zulum, in his brief remarks at the congress election; called for sustained unity and peace.
“This administration would continue to work towards a united and peaceful party to serve the people at the grassroots,” he said
Speaking on behalf of re-elected leaders, the party Chairman, Alhaji Ali Dalori thanked the elected party officials for the confidence reposed in them.
He assured them that they will not be disappointed while serving the party and its members.
