Borno Govt Donates Vehicles, Motorcycles to Nigerian Army
The Borno State Government has donated five operational vehicles and 15 motorcycles to the Nigerian Army to enhance security operations in Dikwa Local Government Area.
Governor Babagana Zulum, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Umar Kadafur, presented the donation during a visit to the 24 Task Force Brigade in Dikwa on Monday.
The governor highlighted the critical role of equipping security forces to sustain peace and stability in the region. Out of the five vehicles, three were allocated to the Nigerian Army, while the remaining two were designated for the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
Governor Zulum commended Brig.-Gen. Ezekiel Bawa Barkins, Commander of the 24 Task Force Brigade, for the military’s contributions to the resettlement of displaced persons in Dikwa and neighboring communities.
He urged security agencies to remain vigilant and dedicated to protecting the lives and property of citizens. The governor noted that the donation aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to reinforce security infrastructure and support military and local volunteers in the fight against insurgency.
