Borno PDP suspends 6 committee members over anti-party activities

The Borno State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended six of its State Working Committee (SWC) members.
The suspension was for an authorized party meeting, gross misconduct and violation of the 2017 PDP constitution.
They included Bunu Satomi, the Deputy Chairman, Abdu Jidda, the Legal Adviser, Kaka Shettima, Abba Kalumi, Mohammed Ballah and Umar Abubakar Shani,

The State Publicity Secretary, Amos Adziba, yesterday (Monday), in Maiduguri, stated that the suspension of officials was for an alleged attempt to cause disunity and possible breakdown of law and order.
He warned that the party will not hesitate in legal proceedings against tarnishing the image of the party.
He, therefore, urged the public to disregard any information that does not emanate from Adziba.
He also called on party supporters to remain calm and law-abiding; as the suspension is in accordance with the party’s constitution.
