COVID-19: Gov. Buni take AstraZeneca vaccine in Yobe

The Yobe State Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni have received his first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine against the COVID-19 virus.

The vaccine was administered to the Governor by his personal physician, Dr Mohammed Salim Umar, assisted by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Mohammed Gana.

The Governor was vaccinated along with the Deputy Governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana; the Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Baba Malam Wali; Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr Garba Iliya; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alh. Abdullahi Yusuf and personal aide to the governor.

The Governor’s vaccination signifies the official launch of the exercise although it has been on-going.

He urged the people of the state to go for the vaccination and observe the Covid-19 protocol.
