By Lawrence Bilal Audu
Gabon’s Transitional President, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, has launched the “One Gabonese, One Taxi” program, distributing 417 taxis to Gabonese citizens.
This initiative aims to modernize the urban transportation sector, encourage entrepreneurship among young people, and play a key role in the country’s economic recovery.
The program is part of the government’s efforts to promote economic growth and improve the lives of its citizens. By providing taxis to Gabonese citizens, the government hopes to create new opportunities for entrepreneurship and employment, particularly among young people.
This initiative is also expected to have a positive impact on the country’s transportation sector, making it more efficient and modern. The program aligns with the government’s goal of accelerating digital transformation and promoting economic development in Gabon, as seen in the recent partnership with the World Bank to support the Digital Gabon Project.
