Gashua VC urges Contractors to ensure speedy completion of projects
The Vice-Chancellor Federal University Gashua, Professor Maimuna Waziri, has called on contractors handling various projects in the University to hurry up and complete their projects.
She made the call when a team of contractors and consultants of the projects paid her a visit in her office.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the team Architect Abdullahi Sa’id Bello, said they are in her office to congratulate her on her appointment as the third substantive Vice and of the University and also to use the opportunity to interact with the management.
Architect Abdullahi said the projects are in six slots handling by six different Contractors and everything is going on smoothly. Though, he said there is little disagreement between the contractors and the supervisors in terms of quality and specifications as some of the reasons why some of the projects are not completed up to now.
He, therefore, seek management assistance in extending the period of completion to some months for them to be able to meet up.
Responding, the registrar Aliyu Bulkaciwa Shehu PhD, thanked them for taking their time to see the management and solicits for the cooperation of the contractors.
