Gov. Bala’s proactive approach to infrastructural development earned him award – Group

A political group under the auspices of the Kaura Ambassadors Network Network (KAN) has reiterated that Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State’s proactive approaches to infrastructural development earned him the prestigious award for urban renewal.
It could be recalled that Governor Mohammed has been conferred with the prestigious award for urban renewal by The Best Strategic (TBS) Media in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation at the 2024 Nigeria Excellence Awards in Public Service (NEAPS).
Mr. Muslim Maigari, Director General of the Group, stated this at a press conference on Sunday in Bauchi, saying KAN facilitated Gov. Mohammed over the award.
He said the recognition underscores the critical role of proactive governance in enhancing infrastructure, which in turn contributes significantly to improving the quality of life for citizens.
“Governor Bala has implemented a comprehensive strategy aimed at addressing the infrastructure deficit in the state.
“His approach is characterised by foresight, strategic planning, and timely execution of infrastructure projects across various sectors, including transportation, healthcare, education, and utilities.
“Significant investments have been made in expanding and upgrading the state’s transportation network. This includes the construction of new roads and bridges and the modernization of public transportation systems to improve connectivity and accessibility,” he said.
According to him, Mohammed is concerned by the deplorable state of infrastructure in the state following decades of bad governance.
“Upon assumption of office in 2023, a state emergency was declared for critical infrastructure in the state, particularly roads, education, and health care facilities.
“Today the story is different with landmark projects that traversed the entire state. This leaves no one in doubt of your visionary leadership and enviable passion for positive transformation,” Maigari stressed.
Maigari also lauded Gov. Mohammed for the opportunities created for youth to man critical levers of government in the state.
“This is a testament to your abiding faith that green horns, when properly mentored, can usher in a new dawn that Nigeria is desperately yearning for.
“We pledge our unalloyed loyalty to your administration and be assured of our continuous support and prayers for the success of this administration,” the DG said.
He, however, called on all well-meaning citizens of the state to rally their support behind the governor’s vision as the architect of New Bauchi, a reality that will continue to resonate generation after generation.
