Gov. Zulum should be Nigeria’s next Vice President – Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo

The Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo, Borno State Chapter, has listed four reasons why Borno Governor Babagana Zulum is a suitable candidate for the office of the Vice President of Nigeria in 2023.

Borno State Chapter, who disclosed this in a statement released in Maiduguri, said that Zulum’s experience, level-headedness, maturity, broad-mindedness and commitment toward fighting insecurity, necessitated our choice of him to become the Vice President.

Egwudike said that “It is axiomatic unequivocally seen that Prof Babagana Umara Zulum is an epitome of transformation, working tirelessly towards accomplishing development to Borno state, her indigenes and non-indigenes.

In the area of human welfare and hospitality mostly essentially to the Igbos in the state,
Prof Babagana Umara Zulum has been a true Leader to the Igbo’s who are mostly into Merchandise businesses. Apart from providing a conducive, secured and friendly atmosphere to them, the Governor has prioritised attention on the welfare of Igbo’s working in the civil service through prompt promotion, salary incentives increments as well as Provision of Social Welfare services to the Widows and their likes, to help them become financially capable to carter for themselves and their families.

He has also used his synergy with the Igbo Community to empower the youths through various Skill Acquisition and Vocational programmes. School children were not left out in his benevolence and Philanthropic gestures because he has awarded scholarships to some of the children and built schools for orphans. This giant stride has boost enrollment and abruptly brought a reduction in the rate of hawking by children both indigenes and non-indigenes Igbo’s.

The Igbos in Borno state feel so ebullient as they look towards every Christmas celebration because His Excellency Prof Babagana Umara Zulum always donates free to and fro Luxurious Buses to all the Igbos to facilitate their journey to their various home town to reunite with their families during the festive period.

Borno state is a Home of Peace but to the Igbos, Borno is a “Home away from Home” this is owing to the fact that Zulum has showered us with so much welfare, Love and hospitality.

His achievements recorded in provision security cannot be overemphasized as Governor Zulum has achieved tremendously within the past two years by rendering his supportive hands to all the Arm Forces and Parliamentary Structures in the state as they execute the counter-insurgency campaign to restore normalcy in the North East.

His sincere posture in the fight against insecurity gave the Igbo Community and other indigenes of the state the assurance of their safety and security to go about their normal socioeconomic activities without fear.

His sanguineous inherent nature can be deduced by his vivacious approach in his relationship with both the Christians and the Muslim communities in the state, all geared towards the growth and development of all sundry.

“Zulum does not discriminate; he showered his love and compassion to all the inhabitants of his States. (Both indigenes and non-indigenes) most notably the Igbos by favouring Men and Women who are into Merchandise with contracts, Connections and Supplies. His affection for the Igbos has resonated to the apex because he has also appointed some of them to function as his special aids. Zulum also gave free travelling tickets to Christians especially Igbos, to go on their pilgrimage to Jerusalem as they practice their faith.

“On achievements: Governor Zulum is a prima facie i.e first among equals. A man of the people whose astute governance have accentuated his developmental strides. Resonating his numerous achievements so high to the zenith of Borno state and the North- East at large.

“Many Borno Occupants sees him as a Messiah. A man sent by God to ameliorate them from penury and squalor and scorching flames of the plight they are situated; which of course by God predestination his zealous, industrious and diligent dedication to the service of Borno state will accelerate and alleviate him to the level of Vice -President come 2023.
“Looking at his two years(2) administration as the Executive Governor of Borno state, he has already accomplished 535 Projects in the state; which was commissioned on 17th June 2021 by President Mohammed Buhari. With these tremendous achievements God have used him to do, we are optimistic that he will do more.
