Improper Waste Disposal: Jalingo Communities Under Heavy Floods Video

Many have been sent parking by a heavy flood that was said to have caused by improper waste disposal in Jalingo the Taraba state capital.

Several houses, shops and businesses were ransacked by the heavy flood in the Mayo-Mbayi and Mayo-Gwoi central area of the Jalingo metropolis.

In 2 minutes, video recordings of the high-speed flood cars were seen being swept away.

Farmlands were also washed away and destroyed along with properties worth millions.

The state government had warned residents, emphasizing the need to desist from building on the water channel and dumping refuse in the drainages.

According to officials, the warning was to avoid havoc being express in the state.

There was a heavy traffic gridlock on the Gwoi bridge as motorists switched to one lane of the road.

Speaking to Our Nigeria News, A resident said so far, no help has come from either the government or any agency to victims of the floods.

Mayo Baiyi is a densely populated area with estimated 10,000 inhabitants in the heart of Jalingo the capital city of Taraba state
