The state government had warned residents, emphasizing the need to desist from building on the water channel and dumping refuse in the drainages.
According to officials, the warning was to avoid havoc being express in the state.
There was a heavy traffic gridlock on the Gwoi bridge as motorists switched to one lane of the road.
Speaking to Our Nigeria News, A resident said so far, no help has come from either the government or any agency to victims of the floods.
