‘ll focus on people-centered development initiatives – Female councilor vows

Hajiya Aisha Gwani, a Councilor, representing Makama A ward in Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, has pledged to bring people-centered development initiatives to her constituents.
Gwani, who clinched the position under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Monday in Bauchi.

The counselor was recently elected to serve the people of Makama A at just concluded local government polls held over the weekend.
According to her, she has identified the need for infrastructural development, skills acquisition, and empowerment programmes to uplift people’s standard of living in her ward.
“My goal is to bring the government closer to the people. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our ward receives the necessary attention and resources to drive development and growth.
“The initiative includes renovation and construction of roads, schools, healthcare facilities and skills acquisition programmes for youth and women.
“I also planned to facilitate empowerment schemes for small-scale entrepreneurs and farmers, as well as access to clean water and sanitation, among others,” Gwani said.
She, however, made it point black that her desire would only be accomplished with the support of the Chairman, her loyalty to the ruling party in the state, the PDP, as well as the government.
“I am committed to serving this great ward and ensuring that our needs are met. Therefore, your support is highly needed.
“I will work closely with the chairman and other stakeholders to bring development to our ward,” Gwani assured.
The counselor solicited prayers and support from the people of her ward, saying, “I cannot do this alone, I need your prayers, guidance, and cooperation to succeed,” she pleaded.
