The Chief of Kaltungo chiefdom, also known as Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Muhammad has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State for the numerous developmental projects he has been executing in the state for the past two years.
Mai Kaltungo, who gave the accolades during the ‘Sham Po Shene’ Festival at his palace in Kaltungo, Gombe State assured the Governor of his continuous supports.

Speaking on behalf of traditional title holders in the chiefdom, Alkyabbar Kaltungo, Hajiya Sa’adatu Sa’ad Muhammad also commended Gov. Yahaya for his foresight in handling the affairs of the state.
She assured the Governor of the people of Kaltungo’s total support and loyalty to his administration in the years ahead.
Also speaking, the District Head of Awak, Alhaji Muhammadu Adamu Kuge thanked the Mai Kaltungo, and Governor Yahaya for the provision of security of lives and properties which made it possible for the event to take place under a peaceful atmosphere.
He called on the traditional rulers and other traditional title holders in the chiefdom to continue their support to Governor Yahaya’s administration, to enable him continue with the people-oriented projects he has been executing in the state.

Other district and village heads that spoke at the event also commended the governor. They cited fiscal responsibility and prudent management of the state resources, which according to them enable him to execute projects in Kaltungo LGA and save the local government service from collapsing.
The ‘Sham Po Shene’ festival is an annual festival that signals the eating of newly harvested farm produce.
