A fact-finding team from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), led by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, arrived in Gusau on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, to investigate allegations of civilian casualties in a recent airstrike in Zamfara State. The inquiry, ordered by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, underscores NAF’s commitment to operational transparency and adherence to international standards.
In a meeting with Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal at the Government House, Air Vice Marshal Gabkwet reaffirmed NAF’s dedication to protecting civilian lives, calling it a core value of the force.
