NIS Clarifies Visa-On-Arrival Application Process Following Payment Platform Upgrades
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has addressed concerns regarding the Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) application process, following recent upgrades to payment platforms by Nigerian financial institutions.
In a statement issued on Saturday by Service Public Relations Officer Kenneth Udo, NIS Comptroller General Kemi Nandap reassured the public that all NIS platforms are fully operational. She encouraged applicants to submit VOA applications online from home and to make payments using bank cards for a seamless experience.
Nandap acknowledged the challenges some applicants faced during the payment system upgrade and emphasized that the NIS is committed to ensuring ease of access for visa applicants.
“Applicants are advised to apply online and make payments via the portal using their bank cards for a smooth transaction process,” Nandap said.
For inquiries, the public can access official NIS channels, including the website www.immigration.gov.ng, and social media handles on X, Facebook, and Instagram @nigimmigration. The contact center can also be reached at 07053401399, 09121900655, or 09121556359.
The NIS remains dedicated to simplifying the VOA process for travelers.
