North East Group Endorses Al-Makura As National APC Chairman
A group under the auspices of North-East APC Social Media Forum has endorsed the former governor of Nasarawa State and now a serving senator, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for the post of the national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The group made the declaration in Gombe on Friday while presenting the letter of endorsement to Chairman Almakura Support group Dominic Mancho.
Mal. Muazu Hina leader of the group said the former governor, has all the qualities it takes to pilot the affairs of APC as Its national chairman.
“We believe that Al-Makura will offer an open-door policy, and will keep to promises to be made in the course of our electioneering campaign coming soon in all the geographical zones of the country.
“After consultations within the party hierarchy, women groups, youth associations and stakeholders within the ruling All Progressives Congress in the North East and other parts of Nigeria,.
“North-East APC Youths Social Media Forum come to the conclusion that senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura is an experienced politician and his equipped knowledge will no doubt take the ruling APC to enviable heights,” he said.
Mr Dominic Mancho Chairman Almakura support group who represented senator Al-Makura at the occasion expressed delight in the endorsement.
Mancho said unblemished record of the senator while serving as Nasarawa State governor, speaks volumes of him and as such stands in good stead to pilot the affairs of APC at the national level.
While receiving the endorsement letter, he noted that the senator would have been in Gombe, but was commissioning a mosque alongside the incumbent governor.
Mancho described Al-Makura as a dedicated and loyal party man, who also has an interest in Nigeria’s growth, development, unity and peace at heart.
