In improving civil servants’ capacity to deliver more services to the people, 3,207 workers are writing their 2025 promotional examinations in Yobe state.
The examination centres, which are designated at Government Girls Unity College, Damaturu; Umar Suleiman College Education, Gashua; and College of Administration, Management and Technology (CAMTECH), Potiskum, are being supervised by the Head of Service (HoS), Alhaji Hamidu Betara Bularafa, and two of his representatives at Gashua and Potiskum promotional examinations centres.
Ensuring the fairness and transparency of promotional examinations in Damaturu, the HoS stated, “We’re committed to the growth and development of our civil servants,” adding that the promotional examination across the state underscores the commitment to merit-based career development for workers’ advancement in the civil service.
Highlighting the significance of the exams, Bularafa said, “I urge all of you to reciprocate the state government’s investments in your professional growth through what he described as ‘dedication, commitment and integrity in the delivery of services to the people in the state.'”
The HoS, therefore, urged the other candidates to imbibe diligence and integrity while serving the state government in the delivery of services in the various sectors of the economy.
The Rector of CAMTECH, Ibrahim Bomai, reaffirmed the college’s commitment to support the state government by maintaining an “effective and reliable” promotional examination for the civil servants, irrespective of their salary grade levels.
