Rival Bandit Faction Eliminates Notorious Leader Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji in Zamfara
Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Daji, a notorious bandit leader, has been killed by a rival faction in Kwanar Nasiru, near Mada town in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Sources confirm that Gurgun Daji was ambushed and killed on Sunday, with his body left at the scene by the assailants.
Known for leading violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and other areas, Gurgun Daji had long been a menace in the region. He operated from his base in Shangel village and was infamous for purchasing kidnapped victims to expand his criminal network.
Gurgun Daji also provided refuge to other criminals, including the feared Bello Taggoje, at his Shangel residence. His death is seen as a major step forward in the ongoing efforts to curb banditry in Zamfara, where he led a large group responsible for numerous attacks and kidnappings.
