Joint air and Ground Patrols are being carried out across the various sectors within our Area of Operation. The patrols are a true demonstration of team effort, with peacekeepers from Indbatt, Pakbatt, Ghanbatt and the Chinese Military Helicopter Unit working together to secure the Abyei Box.
The Nepalese and the Nigerian troops are simultaneously conducting patrols in the vicinity of the Mission Headquarters and Abyei communities.
These collective efforts are a vital part of our ongoing effort to build trust within the local community and serve as a deterrence against any potential threats or illegal activities within the Abyei Box.
