Taraba Assembly passes new Audit Service Commission law.

Taraba State House of Assembly has passed the bill on Taraba state Audit Service Commission 2021 into law.

This followed a motion moved by the majority leader Douglas Yahaya Ndatse from Donga Local government area of the state and seconded by the chief whip John Kizito Bonzena who is also from Zing Local government constituents paved way for the bill to be taken page by page.

The Members unanimously passed the bill into law.

The clerk of the house Mellah Onrgue was asked to read the long tittle of the bill and there after communicate the executive for his assent.

Also the report of the committee on public account on the Audited financial statement of the sixteen local government council for twenty fifteen to twenty seventeen in the state was adopted during plenary.

It was adopted in a committee of whole at the floor of the house.

Leading the debate, the committee chairman Adamu Mohammed Kwanchi said the committee recommends that henceforth the sixteen local government council should ensure that all transactions are recorded in cash books Among other recommendations.

In their various comments the speaker professor Joseph Albasu Kunini,Abdulkarim Mohammed of Ibbi constituency and John kizito bonzena of zing constituency commended the committee for a great job urging them to adhere to their recommendations.

They call for training and retraining of the local government staff so as to boost revenue generation in the state.

The Members unanimously adopted the report of the committee and the clerk of the House Mellah Onrgue was asked to prepare a clean copy for the governor’s assent.

Earlier the speaker thanked his colleagues for availing themselves to fulfill their obligations urging them to keep up the good work.
