TROOPS AMBUSH TERRORISTS IN KADUNA, NEUTRALIZE 6 AND RECOVER ARMS AND LOGISTICS
In a swift and decisive move, troops of the Nigerian Army engaged in Counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State on Friday, 24th May 2024, launched a successful ambush against terrorist elements, resulting in the neutralization of 6 individuals and the recovery of arms and logistics.
Acting on actionable intelligence regarding the presence of terrorist groups in Giwa and Birnin Gwari Local Government Areas (LGA), the troops swiftly mobilized to intercept the threat. The meticulously planned ambush took place at Kidandan Junction in Giwa LGA, where the troops engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, causing them to retreat and abandon a pistol.

Undeterred, the troops proceeded to clear Basurfe and Yuna villages, where they recovered a motorbike left behind by the fleeing terrorists. Pursuing the adversaries to Katoge village, a known terrorist hideout, the troops eliminated a scout and seized a semi-automatic pump-action rifle.
The operation reached its climax in Saulawa village in Birnin Gwari LGA, as the troops encountered a group of terrorists on motorbikes. A fierce exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the neutralization of 5 more terrorists and the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a G3 rifle, and 9 motorbikes.
