Zulum approves 54 patrol vehicles for military to secure Borno

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, had distributed 54 patrol vehicles and motorcycles to enhance the operational capacity of the military fight terrorism in Marte Local Government Areas of the state.
Zulum announced the approvals of vehicles, yesterday (Friday), at New Marte, while assessing the security situation before returning the internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their communities.
He said the patrol vehicles, comprising four Buffalo Toyota pickups, 50 motorcycles, are employed to clear the New Marte settlement areas for the IDP returnees.
The governor, therefore, commended the troops for their relentless efforts in restoring peace and stability in Marte Local Council Areas.
He praised them for their sacrifices and dedication in securing the state against terrorists and other criminals. “Your efforts and sacrificed have facilitated the gradual return of normalcy in the Northeast region,” he noted.
While returning from New Marte settlement, Zulum stopped at Dikwa, to assess the ongoing construction of General Hospital, Higher Islamic College, and other settlements for the return of more IDPs from Maiduguri, Nganzai and Monguno. End.Yahoo Mail: Search, Organize, Conquer
