2023: Obasanjo Comments on Tinubu’s Candidacy

Former Nigerian president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has made a comment about the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
NORTH EAST STAR gathered that the former Nigerian leader joked about Tinubu’s statements which became a public sensation.

While addressing an audience on Thursday, Obasanjo said: “We have three new words introduced into the Yoruba political dictionary: ‘Emilokan’, ‘Eleyi’ and ‘Olule’. These three vocabularies are now popularly used.
“When he (Tinubu) came to visit me yesterday, I told him this, and he laughed hard too.”
Recall that Tinubu had visited Obasanjo in Abeokuta on Wednesday. He was in company of two former governors of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel; billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola; and pioneer national chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande.
Though details of the closed-door meeting were not known, as the former Lagos State governor refused to speak with newsmen, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, said that what transpired during the meeting assures of Tinubu’s victory, come 2023.
