Anti-party activities: We support Goje, others’ expulsion – Gombe State APC
The Gombe State Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday endorsed the expulsion of Alhaji Danjuma Goje Senator representing Gombe Central and others from the party.
APC Publicity Secretary Mr Moses Kyari stated this in Gombe during a press conference shortly after the Executive’s meeting.
It can be recalled that the party executives at the ward levels had expelled Alhaji Danjuma Goje, Sen. Bulus Amos, Gombe South and Alhaji Yunusa Abubakar, Federal lawmaker representing Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency for alleged anti-party activities.
He said the decision was based on the various reports received from the Local Government branches of the party, on the issue of anti-party activities that some members of the party had engaged in during the just concluded Presidential and Governorship elections.
He said those involved were Alhaji Danjuma Goje Senator representing Gombe Central, Mr Bulus Amos Senator representing Gombe South and Alhaji Yunusa Abubakar member representing Yamaltu-Deba Federal Constituency.
The Publicity Secretary said the state executives of the party “Have endorsed and reaffirmed the decision of Kashere ward of Akko LGA to expel Danjuma Goje and Bulus Amos senator representing Gombe Central and South respectively,”
“ We also reaffirmed the decision of Lubo/ Difa and Kinafa ward of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government to expel Alhaji Yunusa Abubakar member representing Yamaltu-Deba Federal Constituency.
Kyari said the state Executive had passed a vote of confidence on the leader of the party in the state under Gov. Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State.
He also urged the leadership of the party at the zonal and National level to reaffirm the decision of the state which he said was in line with Article 21, section A, subsection ii, iii, vi and vii of the party constitution.
