Evangelist urges faithful to keep faith in Jesus Christ
By Ibrahim Kado
A U.S.-based preacher, Evangelist Rob Welch, has called on Christian faithful to continue believing in Jesus Christ and God, for a fruitful heavenly race and also to succeed in the world.
Welch, President, Evangelistic Ministries for HIS Glory, a U.S.-based ministry, made the call at the end of a five-day mega festival of miracles on Sunday in Yola.
The event also incorporated a “Train the Trainers” on evangelism.
The programme was in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa chapter, Yola.
According to Welch, whoever believes in Jesus will be blessed and the soul saved from perishing.
“Jesus says if you believe in him, he has a place for you in heaven. No doubt about it because Jesus will never lie to you. So, believe in him to be saved,” he said.
He called on those who were ashamed of their sins to seek forgiveness, as they would be forgiven.
“Jesus says he is the way and truth therefore, follow him to succeed and be safe and saved.
“Satan is deceiver, avoid him. It is only Jesus that will take you to heaven,” he said.
In his address, Mr Joel Manzo, CAN Chairman, Adamawa, appreciated Welch and other clerics for coming.
Manzo, who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Mr Victor Saje, said: “We really appreciate you; your coming here is a blessing. After this crusade Adamawa will not remain the same,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that no fewer than 300 pastors, ministers, youth and women were trained for two days on evangelism, to step down to their various churches across 21 Local Government Areas in the state.
NAN also reports that some participants also testified that they recovered from their various health challenges after the prayers and festival.
