FG Suspends Max Air Operations Following Kano Incident
By Lawrence Bilal Audu
The Federal Government has suspended Max Air’s operations for three months following a recent incident in Kano. The incident occurred on Tuesday night when a Max Air aircraft suffered a tyre burst while landing at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, with 53 passengers onboard. Fortunately, all passengers were evacuated safely without major injuries.
The suspension was imposed by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in response to the serious incident. This move aims to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent similar incidents in the future.
It’s worth noting that the airline’s aircraft may have lost its nose landing gear tyre during landing, leading to the incident. The Kano airport runway has since reopened after the incident.
