Governorship aspirant pledges to prioritise education
A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief David Kente has pledged to introduce double stream teaching and learning model to revive the education sector if elected governor of Taraba.
Kente spoke on Saturday in Jalingo at the official declaration of his desire to contest the governorship ticket of the APC in 2023.
He explained that the double stream education system would entail children going to school both morning and evening to end the menace of out of school children.
Kente noted that the model would enable his administration to use less educational infrastructure to train more students so that the funds for additional infrastructure would be channelled to teachers’ welfare and other developmental projects.
