A counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, stated, yesterday (Wednesday), in Maiduguri that the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists and families were among those that escaped the recent military airstrikes at Gazuwa, Sheruri and Mantari villages.
He said that the terrorists were fleeing from the joint operations of 199 Special Force and 222 Battalions, Civilian JTF and the Air Task Force (ATF), and Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) that neutralized over 200 terrorists, including five commanders.
According to him, the attacks had forced hundreds of terrorists and their families to flee the bombed camps for safer havens in other hideouts of the forest.
