NMA Adamawa branch elects new exco
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Adamawa branch, has elected new executive council, with Yunusa
Dahiru and Dr Cyril Jomusu emerging as Chairman and Secretary.
The NMA Public Relations Officer, Bilal Yahaya, disclose this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Yola.
He stated that the new exco emerged during the association’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Scientific Conference
with the theme “Public Health and Climate Change.”
According to him, speakers at the event enumerated the effects of climate change on human health and the management of heat stroke.
Yahaya quoted the new chairman as assuring continued unity and welfare for members, among others.
Dahiru also recognised the achievements of the Adamawa governor in the health sector, saying “we look forward to collaborating with
government to provide quality care to the good people of the state.”
He thanked members of the association for finding them worthy to serve the association.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some other members of the exco are Dr Nathaniel Noel as
Vice Chairman I, Dr Aliyu Gurin as Vice Chairman II, Dr Rephath Pius as Assistant Secretary.
Others are Dr Kaleb Abews, Financial Secretary and Dr Aniekan Ifon, Treasurer.
