Plateau Governor Vows to Protect Lives and Property After Zurak Community Attack
In the wake of a devastating attack on the Zurak community in Wase Local Government Area, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has issued a resolute statement condemning the violence and promising to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
The incident, which occurred on Monday, left several people dead and numerous houses destroyed. The Police Command in Plateau has reported that they neutralised seven bandits and arrested one during the attack.
In a press release issued by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang expressed deep regret over the tragic loss of innocent lives.
He emphasised that such violence undermines ongoing efforts to secure residents, especially farmers, in the state.
The Governor assured the public that security forces have been mobilised to restore order in the community and other troubled areas.
He underscored his administration’s commitment to proactively address security threats in Plateau State through collaboration with security agencies.
The governor also extended his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and called for unity among Plateau citizens to foster peaceful coexistence in the state.
