Yobe govt. signs N22.3b contract to build flyover bridge in Damaturu

The Yobe State Government, has signed a N22.3 billion contract to build a flyover bridge in Damaturu, the state capital.
The Commissioner of Works, Engr. Umar Duddaye, disclosed this, on Thursday in Damaturu, while assenting to the bridge contract along with Triacta construction firm.
He said project sited at the Damaturu main Roundabout, will be completed in 12 months.
He said that Damaturu will undergo infrastructural facility transformation with the construction of 23.5km of roads and 27km of concrete line drains.
Besides, he added; “We’ll resurface all the major roads in the state capital, including the Maisandari community along Maiduguri road,” he said.
Duddaye, therefore, assured the people that governor Buni will flag off the construction of flyover bridge in the second quarter of this year.
The Area Manager of Triacta, Engr. Habib Geojea assured the commissioner that the firm will strictly adhere to all the terms of contract.
