In a sombre announcement from Damaturu, the Tikau Emirate Council shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema, the revered Emir of Tikau in Yobe State.
According to the council’s statement signed by Alhaji Aliyu Bagare, Madakin Tikau, the esteemed leader, breathed his last in Potiskum on Friday following a brief battle with illness.
Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammadu Abubakar Ibn Grema, LL.D., who had dutifully served as the Mai of Tikau since July 25, 2001, concluded his earthly journey on May 10, 2024, at the age of 73.
