Zulum appoints four provosts, registrars for Colleges of Nursing, Midwifery, health technology

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has approved the appointments of four provosts and registrars of the Colleges of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Technology in the state.
The appointments were contained in the statement of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Tijjani Bukar, released yesterday (Thursday) to journalists in Maiduguri.
“These appointments take effect as from September 1, 2024 to commence both academic and practical sessions at the colleges of nursing, midwifery and health technology,” he said.
On the four health institutions to be headed, the SSG said: “Dr. Hadiza Yahaya and are to head Colleges of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Technology respectively.
“While Abba Jidda Harun and Bukar Kaumi Monguno, Abba Jidda Harun, and Bukar Ali are registrars of College of Nursing and Midwifery, and College of Health Technology respectively,” he said, noting that the appointment of Ali was an acting capacity, until a substantive registrar is appointed by the state government.
In the energy sector, Shettima Bukar was also appointed the substantive general manager of the Rural Electrification Board (R.E.B) effective from September 11, 2024.
Bukar, therefore, urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them in the healthcare delivery system to the people.
