Speaking at the event, he lamented the hardship and insecurity bedeviling the country, attributing it to the failure of leadership.
Furthering, Barr. Uzoigwe stated that Nigeria is in a comatose situation, adding that to make the country work again, there is a need for Nigerians, especially the youths to turn out en mass in 2023 and vote for someone capable mentally and physically for the number one post in the country.
Continuing, the Ugbelle-born barrister expressed joy with how keen the youths have become in ensuring that they exercise their franchise come 2023, saying that it bodes well for the progress of Nigeria.
According to him, “your choice should be borne out of your conviction that your preferred candidate will deliver and not on the ground that he comes from the same extraction as you.
“I urge every Nigerian to look beyond party or tribe and vote based on proven integrity, vision, competence, and patriotism,” he said.
Admonishing the new couple, the government council who doubles as a philanthropist of monumental proportion enjoined them to always involve God in every one of their dealings and to always embrace tolerance.
Responding, the bride and groom Mrs. Chioma Obere, and Mr. Bethel Agummadu thanked Barr. Uzoigwe for his sage words, adding that his towering presence is highly appreciated.
