6th NYG: Taraba Contingent Departs for Ilori Sunday, Sports Council Commend Gov. Ishaku over approval
The Taraba State Council has said that all is set for both contingent and officials to take off Sunday to the 6th National Youth Games in Ilori, the capital of Kwara.
The State Director Sports Council, George Shitta disclosed this during a chat with newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital.
He informed that the state contingent will be the first to take off to Ilorin tomorrow 10th October, 2021 for the games.
Shitta applauded Governor Darius Ishaku for granting approval for the take off, saying that the gesture will provide the contingent the opportunity to participate in the National Youths Games.
He remarked that Taraba state is blessed with talented male and female who can participate in all sporting events.

George Shitta also expressed optimism that the contingent would win medals for the state during their participation in the Games.
However, the Director of Sports Council appreciated Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) under the leadership of Joachim Bandawa for their effort in sports development through reportage and urged them to maintain the existing cordial relationship with Council.
