AANI Lagos Chapter Elects New EXCO
The Alumni Association of the National Institute, Lagos State Chapter has elected new Executive Committee (EXCO) members to run its affairs for the next two years.
The election was held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Lagos, during its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and reception for its SEC 45 new members.
The hybrid general election was conducted by a team of dedicated members ably led by Mr Victor Banjo mni, under the watchful eyes of the general assembly and the representative of AANI National President, a former President, Engineer Jani Ibrahim, OON mni FNSE FAEng FIoD. Those elected to the nine-member EXCO include:
1. Omolara A. BALOGUN, mni-Chairman.
2. Segun AJAYI-KADIR, mni-Vice Chairman.
3. Olufemi M. AWOYEMI-General Secretary.
4. Uche R. UNIGWE, mni-Assistant General Secretary.
5. Adedeji AWOBOTU, mni- Treasurer.
6. Folashade Adebayo-Fari, mni- Financial Secretary.
7. Tunde AJIBULU, mni-Publicity Secretary.
8. Olurogba ORIMALADE, mni-Social and Welfare Secretary.
9. Samuel AGBELUYI, mni-Legal Adviser.
Also in attendance at the AGM were AANI elder statesmen such as Prince Adelusi Adeluyi, OFR mni, (Former National President & Federal Minster of Health) General Ike Nwachukwu, CFR mni, (Former National Secretary & Former Minister of External Affairs), Ambassador Olufemi Owoaje, mni (Former Directing Staff).
In a statement, the National Publicity Secretary Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman (Rtd) mni expressed AANI National Secretariat’s congratulations to the new EXCO members and wished them all the best.
“We also commend their efforts of holding such a wonderful and hitch-free AGM and general election.
“The National President also expressed confidence in their ability to meet the expectations of both chapter members and the entire AANI community.”
The National Secretariat, General Usman said, equally pledged unwavering support and calls upon the newly elected officials to collaborate closely, hand in hand, with the National Secretariat, fostering a collective effort to elevate the association to greater heights, contributing towards the betterment of society.
