Adamawa Govt. approve tour coy for Muslims pilgrimage
Adamawa state Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has approved the setting up of the state Hajj and Umrah Tour Company.
Alhaji Mikail Mubi, the Public Relation Officer, Adamawa Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Yola.
Mubi said that the company had already held its maiden Board of Directors meeting where important issues were discussed pertaining to its scope of activities.
According to him, Adamawa is the second state in the country to have registered such a company after Kano state.

”The company is business-oriented, which is targeted to provide Hajj and Umrah services not only in Adamawa but for all interested Nigerians.
“The development would not only simplify Hajj and Umrah services to the people of the state but will also create more revenue for the state government.
”The Company is to be known and called as Adamawa Hajj and Umrah Tour Company Limited,” Mubi said.
He noted that the establishment of the company would equally boost not only religious tourism but other sectors of transportation.
Mubi sought collective support and co-operation from the people of the state to run the new company successfully.
”The company has a chairman, Managing Director and other board members,” he said.
