Adamawa NUJ Commends Governor Fintiri’s Achievements in Christmas Message
The Adamawa Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has applauded Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his impactful achievements, particularly in welfare and infrastructure development across the state.
In a Christmas goodwill message signed by the council’s Secretary, Fidelis Jockthan, the union highlighted the significance of the festive season and celebrated the governor’s contributions to peace and progress.
“The union rejoices with its members and the entire Adamawa populace on this significant day, marking the birth of Jesus Christ and its profound essence to humanity,” the statement read.
Reflecting on the season, the NUJ emphasized the core values of love, compassion, and unity. It also acknowledged that the 2024 Christmas celebration holds special significance due to the state’s notable infrastructural advancements and the expansion of traditional institutions under Governor Fintiri’s leadership.
“Peace is priceless and paramount, especially in a diverse society like ours. Christmas reminds us to act as our brother’s keeper, sharing love and goodwill with all,” Jockthan added.
The NUJ further underscored the role of the media in strengthening democracy and called on journalists to use the season to promote patriotism and instill the fear of God in citizens.
The council concluded its message by extending warm wishes to all its members and residents of Adamawa for a joyous Christmas and a hopeful transition into the New Year.
