Strong indications have have emerged that famed and infamous terrorist figure, Ali Kawaje, known as Ali Kachalla, and his associates may have been killed on December 10, 2023, as a result of airstrikes conducted by Nigerian Air Force aircraft near Mangoro in the Munya Local Government Area of Niger State.
Reliable sources have indicated that Ali Kachalla led an assault on a security forces detachment stationed in the Mangoro Community of Niger State’s Munya LGA. Upon receiving the alert, Nigerian Air Force aircraft from Operation Whirl Punch promptly intervened to provide assistance to the embattled troops.
Reports indicate that notorious terrorist leader Ali Kachalla and his associates were spotted withdrawing from the location of security operatives on 11 motorcycles. Unbeknownst to them, they were being tracked to their hideout near Kopa Hills, where they sought cover under a dense tree canopy.
Following this development, decisive and swift airstrikes were authorized, resulting in effective and maximum damage inflicted upon the terrorists. Sources in the vicinity and local residents have revealed that several of the terrorists, including the kingpin Ali Kachalla, were eliminated as a result of the strike.
The news of Kachalla’s demise has sparked jubilation in Mangoro and surrounding areas, with many locals expressing hope for a similar outcome for Dogo Gidei, whose notorious activities have caused immeasurable harm to their well-being and livelihoods.
When approached for comment, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet declined to make any statements regarding the strike, citing a lack of briefing on the matter.
This strike comes shortly after the NAF confirmed the elimination of another notorious terrorist kingpin, Yellow Jambros. If this momentum continues, it is possible that the reign of these terrorists and their associates may be nearing its end sooner rather than later.
