APC applauds Dankwambo for peaceful conduct
Gombe State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) applauds the peaceful disposition of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain and former Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo on his return visit to the state after three years.
Addressing newsmen in Gombe, the APC expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the immediate past Governor and was astonished at his display of calmness and humility.
The party considered it a rarity given the fact that the intimidating crowd that trooped out to welcome him was exemplary without any notable destruction or breach of peace in the state.

The APC shuddered because since he was coming to the state first time in three years after he left office, he would be escorted by touts and thugs: “unlike his predecessor, Senator Danjuma Goje who visited the state with thugs and breached the peace as his thugs wrecked severe havocs, Dankwambo came in like an ordinary man, save for the crowd that received him, he would have gone for nobody.”
Speaking for the APC, the State Publicity Secretary, Moses Kyari, said former Governor Dankwambo is a peace-loving personality who abhors violence. He likened him to his successor, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who, in the spirit of understanding of the polity and a show of magnanimity, suspended a state function around the PDP Secretariat on Saturday to avoid political supporters’ clash that may arise.
Commending PDP supporters for maintaining decorum during Dankwambo’s visit, the Publicity Secretary appeal to politicians in the state to eschew bitterness and imbibe the spirit of love in pursuit of their ambition.
