The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain in Bauchi State, Malam. Abubakar Al-Sadique has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to hasten the process of creating state police in the country before expiration of his administration.
Al-Sadique stated the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Bauchi, saying the president would be making history by addressing insecurity of in the country.

He said President Buhari would address the creation of ethnic militia by politicians hiding under the guise of insecurity situation of the country.
Al-Sadique, an academician also a journalist said “Mr President can easily achieve this feat by unbundling the Nigerian police in order to ensure that all governments fully participate in policing.”
“Those entertaining fear that state governors will abuse the state police if created have got it wrong as mechanisms can be put in place to ensure that any abuse by any public officer can be investigated and prosecuted.
Al-Sadique also urged the president not to leave office without addressing the issue of state police.
