The All Progressives Congress (APC) youths in Bauchi State have chided the former Governor Mohammad Abubakar (SAN) for his new ‘relationship’ with the incumbent, Bala Mohammed who is seeking re-election as a governor.
The Group, called Air Marshal Youth Vanguard while addressing journalists on Sunday, accused Abubakar of engaging in anti-party activities by honoring his successor’s invitation to a dinner organized for him.
Governor Mohammed had on Thursday night held a special dinner for his predecessor on his attainment of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Abubakar is said to be the fourth citizen of the state to get the rank. While speaking at the event, Abubakar who governed the state under APC commended his PDP successor for recording “so many successes in various sectors”.
He added that “I must commend him (the Governor) for the giant stride he has achieved in various sectors of the economy of the state.
“Since the aim is to develop the State, I’m in full support of the developmental strides he has succeeded in achieving and I’m very happy because I don’t have any other state than Bauchi.”
However, the group, led by Ismail Musa, condemned the ex-governor for honoring and delivering “his speech where he eulogized the PDP-controlled Bauchi State Government, and even called for his re-election. What a double standard.”
Musa accused Abubakar of failing APC as a sitting governor and cannot be trusted by the Party. He added “Abubakar and his wife have been paying ostrich and it is now evident that they are not with the Progressives. The leopard cannot change its color by a mere deep in the sea,” he said
