APC raises N2.2 billion for Yobe gubernatorial campaigns

The Yobe state chapter of the All Progressives Party (APC) has raised N2.2 billion for the ongoing party campaigns for the 2023 general elections.
The fundraising was to enable Governor Mai Mala Buni and his deputy, Idi Gubana re-elected for the second term in the gubernatorial elections slated for Saturday, March 11, 2023.
Declaring the fun raising open on Thursday in Damaturu, the Chairman of the fundraising committee, Tijjani Musa Tumsa, disclosed: “The essence of this campaign fundraising; was to ensure a hitch-free campaign process without any setback on crisscrossing the entire State.”

He noted that the N2.2 billion has been raised, while campaign donations are forthcoming from party supporters and political associates within and outside the state.
He said that it was a show of love as friends, associates, sons and daughters in the state are massively donating funds to the Buni and Gubana ongoing campaign programme.
Besides, he added that friends and associates of Governor Buni, outside the state, have contributed handsomely to the re-election of the Governor for a second term.
He said “we have every reason to contribute funds today in bringing back the duo to contest the Governorship election in the state.
Chairman of State’s Campaign Council, Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam charged the party supporters to donate generously for the re-election of Buni and his deputy, Gubana, into office.
“You should support and elect all other APC candidates into various offices in the state,” he said.
No less than N2.2 billion was realized on the spot while the donations kept on coming.
