Army eliminates seven Boko Haram camps in Borno

Six Boko Haram camps on the outskirts of the Sambisa Forest in Borno state have been destroyed by Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) troops working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
On Saturday, March 25, 2023, the market in the middle of the camps was also demolished, forcing some of the terrorists to retreat into the Forest.
According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, the damaged camps are located at Bula Agaida, Bula Yaga, Bula Yambai, Kuluri, Bula Umar, and the new Churchur in the Bama Council of the State. He made this disclosure yesterday (Sunday) in Maiduguri.

Also, he said that after torching the six terrorist camps, soldiers from the 21Task Force Brigade, Bama, killed an unspecified number of terrorists.
The army also reportedly found and destroyed a larger hideaway camp between Bula Agaida and Bula Yaga, according to a military source in Maiduguri.
According to the sources, the military raided the area of Bula Agaida and Bula Yaga of the Forest and found and destroyed a sizable Boko Haram camp there.
The military also found a Toyota Hilux gun vehicle that had been used to deliver weapons to nearby communities near Sambisa Forest.
The sources revealed that the majority of the terrorists had left their camps, and that military had demolished the ones that had been rebuilt.
