Bababe tasks staff on Borno land administration, management

The Executive Secretary, Borno State Information Service (BOGIS), Engr. Adam Bababe, has tasked staff to build on the achievements recorded in land administration and management.
According to him, the management staff should remain steadfast in their commitments to performances in title land holdings of residents.Bababe gave the task yesterday (Wednesday) in Maiduguri while addressing the staff over the renewal of his appointment for the second and final term by Governor Babagana Zulum.
While commending the management and staff of the agency, he stated, “The agency’s performance signifies milestones of your dedication and commitment to teamwork in service delivery to the people.”
The executive secretary revealed that BOGIS in 2024 signed over 650 Certificates of Occupancy (C-of-O), generating N1.4 billion in revenue.He attributed the remarkable performance in C-of-O and revenues to public trust in the agency and staff. Besides the agency’s performance, he unfolded plans on staff capacity-building programs, including in-house and external training to acquire skills and knowledge.
“The best-performing staff will be allocated a Hajj or Jerusalem seat and a plot of land in the Maiduguri metropolis,” he said.Bababe noted that the agency’s staff incentives are to appreciate staff commitment and dedication to duties and other responsibilities in land administration.
He assured that the agency will consider permanent appointments for the staff, as 43 of them are about to retire from service.He also announced the disbursement of allowances to staff in overcoming the economic hardships.
Members of the management staff, therefore, commended Bababe for the visionary leadership in transforming land administration with the digitalisation of C-of-O across the state.
