Bandits Attack Kaduna Community, Burnt Down Police Armoured Vehicle

Bandits raided the Kimbi community in Randagi District, Birnin Gwari District, Kaduna State on Monday morning and attacked a stationary armoured mobile police vehicle.
Community leader of Kimbi village, Alhaji Yahaya Kimbi announced this during an interview with a journalist in Kaduna.
He described an incident in which about eight bandits armed with AK47 rifles attacked Kimbi village.

“The attack happened on Monday morning around 1:00 am and in the process, the hoodlums burnt the vehicle to ashes.
“However, the bandits did not kill or kidnap anyone during the attack. I think their only target was to destroy the armoured vehicle,” he stated.
It was noted that many villagers fled from Kimbi out of fear of possible attack.
The community leader, however, said that security agents had visited the village to take stock of the damage incurred as a result of the attack, adding that many residents were going about normal daily activities.
Meanwhile, the Kaduna State Police Command and the State government were yet to react to the attack as at time of filing this report.
It would be recalled that Birnin-Gwari local government area of the State has been in the news in recent times following activities of bandits and Ansaru terrorist group, who have dominated many villages and rendered over 50,000 people in the area homeless.
