Bauchi bar congratulates new NBA President, Maikyau
The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Bauchi State chapter, has congratulated Mr Yakubu Maikyau (SAN) on his successful election as the 31st chairman of the association.
In a congratulatory message, NBA Chairman in the state, Mr Jibrin Jibrin, on Tuesday in Bauchi, expressed joy over the election of Mr Adegbite Adesina, Maidoki Mohammed and 20 other members from the north into the General Council of the Bar (GCB).

Maikyau was elected president of the association following a virtual election conducted by a committee chaired by Prof. Ayodele Akintunde.
Maikyau scored 22,342 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Joe-Kyari Gadzama, who polled 10,842 votes.
Jibrin urged the elected officers to justify the confidence reposed in them in moving the association to greater heights.
“It is in fulfilment of our electoral promises to the branch to improve relations and synergy with the national leadership, the election of Mr Maidoki Mohammed is a demonstration of that synergy,” he said.
He also urged the winners and those that did not emerge victorious in the election to unite in the interest of the association.
